Our Silk Ribbons
What if I need a larger ribbon order?
If the ribbon quantity you need is not currently in stock, we are happy to produce more for you. Our ribbons are made by hand in small batches, so additional quantities typically require 2–3 weeks for production.
If you don’t see the yardage you need available online, please contact us through our online form. We’ll be happy to help with your order and confirm availability and timing.
Wood Spools & Packaging
Multiple order quantities of the same ribbon width and color will be spooled together in one continuous length on one wood spool. For very large yard orders or for wholesale, ribbon may be sent on our dyeing spools with no wood spools unless requested.
What makes our silk ribbon unique?
Each spool is made by hand from 100% silk using a distinctive hand-dipped dyeing process. Unlike conventional methods that dye the individual threads before weaving, our ribbon is dyed after it has been bias-cut and tightly wrapped. The pressure of the wrapped spool affects how the dye is absorbed, creating subtle tonal variations and an artistic finish that cannot be achieved through traditional ribbon dyeing. This process also produces almost no material waste.
Do you offer custom colors?
We are continually expanding our color collection and welcome custom color requests. Please contact us to discuss the shade and quantity you have in mind.
Should I order a color sample?
We highly recommend ordering a sample whenever an exact color match is important. Colors can appear differently from screen to screen, and our hand-dyed process creates natural variation between dye lots.
A physical sample lets you see the ribbon color in person alongside your stationery, florals, fabrics, or other project materials before ordering a full spool.
Please note that we do not accept ribbon returns based on color preference, so we strongly encourage ordering a sample first if color is an important consideration for your project.
Exposing our silk ribbons to water.
If a darker or more vibrant ribbon we offer will be exposed to water, we recommend rinsing the length you plan to use beforehand.
This is especially important for bridal bouquets, as moisture from flower stems could cause excess dye to transfer onto hands, clothing, or a wedding gown.
Our ribbons are dyed and washed while tightly wrapped on the spool. This pressure can prevent a small amount of excess dye from being fully released during the washing process. Once the ribbon is unwrapped, a simple rinse will remove any remaining dye particles without changing the ribbon’s color.
How should I rinse the ribbon?
Place the required length of ribbon in a bowl of cool water and allow it to soak briefly. No detergent, cleaning product, or color-setting agent is needed. The dye has already bonded to the silk fibers, so you are simply rinsing away any remaining excess.
Gently squeeze out the water without twisting the silk, then lay it flat on a clean towel to dry. Once dry, it may be carefully ironed if you prefer a smoother finish. Do not hang the ribbon while wet, as the weight of the water may stretch the silk and make it narrower.
Do I need to rinse ribbon for dry projects?
Rinsing is generally unnecessary when the ribbon will remain completely dry. A few of the darkest or most saturated colors may experience slight dry color transfer, but this is uncommon. If the ribbon will be used near light-colored fabrics or other delicate materials, rinsing it first provides additional protection.
Our ribbons are washable, dry-cleanable, and colorfast after washing. If the ribbon will be used in a bouquet or another project that may come into contact with water, we recommend washing a sample first so you can see how the silk and color respond.
Construction & Care
Our 100% silk ribbons are cut on the bias, giving it an elegant drape and fluid movement. Because of this construction, you will find a seam approximately every two yards along a continuous spool. Each seam is carefully finished with silk thread to create a smooth, nearly seamless appearance. The unfinished edges will naturally soften with handling and use.
Hand-Dyed 100% Silk
Each of our ribbons is hand-dyed and bias-cut for a soft, elegant finish with the natural character of artisan-dyed silk. Our signature dyeing process makes each roll distinctive.
Bias-Cut & Beautifully Finished
The bias-cut construction creates a seam approximately every two yards, carefully finished with silk thread for a smooth appearance. The edges naturally soften with use. Each roll arrives hand-spooled on a dark vintage-style wood spool.
Care: Washable and dry-cleanable. You can also iron your ribbon if you wish.

How do I return my product?
Please contact us if you experience any issues with your order. We are always happy to help.
Because our silk ribbons are hand-measured and custom-spooled specifically for each order, we do not accept returns on ribbon unless your order arrives damaged or we made an error with your order.
If an exact color match is important, we strongly recommend ordering a sample before purchasing a full spool. We cannot accept returns based on color preference. Colors may appear differently due to lighting, photography, and individual screen settings, and color perception can also be subjective.
We cannot accept returns on any merchandise that has been used, altered, or damaged.
Any approved return must be sent back in its original condition and original packaging. For styling blocks, all protective brown paper must remain attached to each block.
Buyers are responsible for all return shipping costs unless the return is due to an error on our part.
Once an approved return is received and inspected, we will issue the applicable refund to the original form of payment.
