Our innovative dyeing process creates subtle, distinctive qualities that are not achievable with traditional methods. Each roll is crafted with minimal waste and comes on a special dark vintage-style spool.
Lustre Theory silk ribbons are both washable and dry-cleanable. Due to the bias cut, there is a seam approximately every two yards, and the raw edges will naturally soften with use. We finish our seams with silk thread to ensure a smooth, seamless appearance.

Water Exposure: If you're exposing your silk ribbon to water, like a wedding bouquet with wet flower stems, rinse it before use to prevent dye transfer. For dry application like invitations, this step is not necessary. Gently rinse to remove any excess dye, squeeze out water, and lay flat on a towel to dry, iron flat to avoid wrinkles if you wish. This will not change the color of the ribbon.
